Waiting for Apple’s next tablet? You may not have to wait long. According to a report from All Things Digital’s John Pacszkowski, the next iPad is coming in the first week of March.
Given that release date, it’s not clear when the new device would hit stores, but Paczkowski estimates that it would be around a week after the launch event.
There have been a lot of rumors going around about what features may be in the next iPad, but the most persistent are that the new iPad will have a better display, a faster processor and better graphics overall.
The report says that the event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Apple also released the iPad 2 in early March at the convention center. To date, the iPad has reigned at the top of the tablet market, with 15.43 million sold in its last quarter, an increase of 111 percent over the previous year. Apple is steadily climbing toward a $500 per share stock price, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, and shares were up around 3.7 percent around 3 p.m. on the report of the pending release. Apple declined to comment on the reports. Source: Washington Post |
